Global Brigades is the world's largest student-led global health and sustainable development organization. Our vision is to improve equality of life by igniting the largest student-led social responsibility movement on the planet. Global Brigades's mission is to empower volunteers and under-resourced communities to resolve global health and economic disparities and inspire all involved to collaboratively work towards an equal world. We focus on holistic development in Honduras, Panama, Nicaragua, and Ghana by collectively implementing health, economic, and education initiatives to strategically meet a community's development goals.
Here at UC Irvine, we have Global Environmental Brigades, Global Water Brigades, Global Microfinance/Business Brigades, Global Public Health Brigades, Global Medical Brigades, and Global Dental Brigades, Global Human Rights Brigades, and Global Engineering Brigades. Each brigade is 7-10 days in one of the four countries listed above over spring break/summer.
If you would like to join any of these disciplines and volunteer abroad on a brigade, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org for more information about meeting times and discipline-specific questions.
