Sponsored by Campus Organizations & Volunteer Programs (COVP), Campus Life Grants strive to support registered campus organizations (RCOs) by providing funding for RCO events, branding materials, and tabling materials to pave the foundation for RCOs. All Campus Life Grant applications are open for the Spring 2025 academic quarter on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. Submit Campus Life Grant applications on behalf of your RCO for the opportunity to win up to a total of $600 in funding!

NEW: SPRING 2025 UPDATES & DEADLINES
  • In Spring 2025, the RCO Toolkit/RCO ZotGear application closes on Thursday, April 24th at 11:59 PM PT.
  • The official deadline for the Anteater Events application is Monday, May 5th, 2025 at 11:59 PM PT.
  • Minor fixes to wording throughout the application for clarity.
  • “First come first serve”: while the quality of your application is still an important factor, we will also consider timely submission for your grant approval/rejection. Apply early to increase your chances!
  • RCO ZotGear, initial design approval: Instead of emailing your club-branded designs to us for approval via attachment, you will be able to submit your designs to a Google Form! Then, you will be notified via email if your design is approved or needs an edit (resubmit designs via the Google Form)
  • Design Approval & Reimbursement Timeline: ASUCI/SGSM will not be accepting COVP’s reimbursement requests to club accounts after Spring Quarter ends, so the process this quarter is expedited to allow clubs to be reimbursed BEFORE Spring Quarter ends.
    • Shorter application open/close period.
    • Shorter time for ZotGear design submission & approval. (tip: please use your official RCO name in marketing materials and adhere to rules outlined by Trademarks & Licensing)
    • Shorter time to fill out Reimbursement Request Form.
    • THE FINAL DEADLINE FOR ALL REIMBURSEMENT REQUESTS IS MONDAY, MAY 26TH at 11:59 PM PT!!!
    • Reimbursements will be processed in Weeks 9 & 10 of Spring Quarter.
    • Any errors or delays during the process may jeopardize your reimbursement or cause delays until the Summer or Fall Quarter.
WINTER 2025 UPDATES & INFO SESSION SLIDES
  • RCOs can now receive up to $400 in the RCO Toolkit & RCO ZotGear application! Previously, clubs could only receive a maximum of $200 for this category. If your RCO received a grant for RCO Toolkit and/or RCO ZotGear in Fall 2024, you are eligible to receive additional funding up to the sum of $400.
  • In Winter 2025, the application opens on Monday, January 27th, and closes on Sunday, February 9th at 11:59 PM PT.
  • RCOs that received RCO Toolkit and/or RCO ZotGear items in Fall 2024 and wish to reapply will NOT be approved for the same items (e.g. an RCO that received a reimbursement for a canopy in Fall 2024 will not be approved to buy another canopy in Winter 2025).
  • 2/14 Update: RCOs applying for RCO ZotGear now have THREE certified licensed vendors to choose their items from: I.D Me Promotions, Power Promotions, and Manhattan Stitching!

Campus Life Grants: 3 different categories to choose from!

RCO Toolkit
Enhance RCO visibility and support organizational missions with the basics – a “Toolkit” for tabling.
RCO ZotGear
Establish RCO branding through tabling items and define a more finite organizational image.
Anteater Events
Supports RCOs in hosting on-campus events that are open to the UCI community.

General Policies:

  • Only registered campus organizations in current good standing are eligible to apply. Organizations affiliated with professional schools are not eligible for the Campus Life Grants at this time.
  • The Campus Life Grants are provided on a reimbursement basis via ASUCI club accounting (for more information, visit the Funding/Accounting page). You MUST have an ASUCI club account to receive funding. COVP will not provide funding before reviewing your itemized receipt/invoice.
  • Expenses and purchases made before grant approval are NOT eligible for reimbursement. Events that have occurred before your application is approved are NOT eligible for reimbursement. Only items approved for your Campus Life Grant are eligible for reimbursement, any additional non-approved items purchased are NOT eligible.
  • Applications are reviewed and analyzed based on (1) quality of application, (2) adherence to application rules, and (3) timely submission. Any false information on your application can result in your application getting rejected.
  • The RCO representative filling out the application on behalf of your organization will be the direct contact with COVP about the Campus Life Grant
  • The designated representative submitting the application for an RCO must complete the Campus Life Grants Policies Quiz and receive 100% (unlimited attempts). The RCO must understand and adhere to the policies. Proof of completion of the quiz is required for each application

There are three types of Campus Life Grants offered in two separate Campus Life Grant applications. RCOs can apply for multiple Campus Life Grants per year to be awarded up to $600! Different criteria and deadlines apply for each grant. Read more about what each grant provides, their criteria, and deadlines!

RCO Toolkit & RCO ZotGear

COVP Campus Life Grant | RCO Toolkit & RCO ZotGear Application opens for a limited time each quarter. In Spring 2025, the application opens on Wednesday, April 16th, and closes on Thursday, April 24th at 11:59 PM PT. No exceptions! The specific dates for application periods in Spring 2025 will be announced in the future. COVP’s Campus Life Grant | RCO Toolkit & RCO ZotGear provides a maximum of $400 per RCO per year to cover the select items that aim to enhance your RCO’s visibility and support your mission. Applicants may select items from both RCO Toolkit and RCO ZotGear, which sum to the $400 funding limit. An RCO can apply for Campus Life Grant | RCO Toolkit & RCO ZotGear once each quarter. RCOs that received this grant in Fall 2024 and/or Winter 2025 are eligible to receive any unspent amount from the $400 maximum (example: an RCO that receives $150 in Fall 2024 can apply to receive a maximum $250 in reimbursements in future quarters).

COVP’s Campus Life Grant | RCO Toolkit funds essential items for RCO fundraising and recruitment tabling opportunities (items can be sourced from anywhere sold):

  1. Canopy (10 x 10, fire rated)
  2. Canopy weights (40 lbs per leg)
  3. Folding table
  4. Chairs
  5. Ice chest
  6. Wagon
  7. Utensils
  8. Gloves
  9. Wastewater bucket
  10. Water jug with spigot
  11. Paper towels
  12. Hand soap

The Campus Life Grant | RCO Toolkit does NOT provide funding for other tabling items, such as food or Bluetooth speakers.

RCO Toolkit Additional Criteria/Deadlines:

  • If you received a Campus Life Grant in previous quarters for RCO Toolkit and/or RCO ZotGear items, you will NOT be approved for the same items (e.g. an RCO that received a reimbursement for a canopy in Fall 2024 will not be approved to buy another canopy in a future quarter).
  • NEW: After your application is approved, you have until Thursday, April 24th, to make your purchases and submit your reimbursement request. RCOs will submit reimbursement requests via DocuSign including all receipts and an itemized list of all purchases. Your reimbursement will be processed in Weeks 9 & 10 of Spring Quarter 2025.

COVP’s Campus Life Grant | RCO ZotGear provides funding for RCO-branded items from our list of certified licensed vendors that can be used at your events and tabling opportunities:

  1. Branded table cover
  2. Branded pop-up banner
  3. Branded flag marker
  4. Branded banner

The Campus Life Grant | RCO ZotGear does NOT provide funding for branded items from other certified or non-certified vendors, nor branded items not listed. Three eligible vendors we are working with are I.D. Me Promotions, Power Promotions, and Manhattan Stitching.

RCO ZotGear Additional Criteria/Deadlines:

  • NEW: Upon initial application approval, your RCO has approximately 2 WEEKS to attain a second round of approval from our team for your club-branded designs. Your RCO may be in contact with either of our approved licensed vendors for the design of your items. The licensed vendor will work behind the scenes with UCI Trademarks & Licensing to ensure all designs are appropriate. However, we will provide second approval for your designs before you are allowed to make your purchase. Design submissions will be via Google Form, and approval will be provided via email.
  • NEW: After the second approval of your designs, you are eligible for reimbursement of your items. After the second approval, you have until Thursday, April 24th, to make your purchases and submit your reimbursement request. Your reimbursement will be processed in Weeks 9 & 10 of Spring Quarter 2025.
Anteater Events

COVP Campus Life Grant | Anteater Events Application is open on a rolling basis for the 2024–2025 academic term. The application closes on Monday, May 5th, 2025 at 11:59 PM PT. Campus Life Grant | Anteater Events provides a maximum of $200 per RCO per year to cover the following for their events.

COVP’s Campus Life Grant | Anteater Events provides funding for the following expenses:

  1. Venue costs with Student Center & Event Services
  2. Venue costs with Bren Events Center
  3. Catering and food from UCI Dining

The Campus Life Grant | Anteater Events does NOT provide funding for event costs at the Barclay Theater or other off-campus venues, food costs from other dining locations, alcoholic beverages, decorations/props, awards, activity costs, or guest speaker fees.

Anteater Events Additional Criteria/Deadlines:

  • Must be ON CAMPUS
  • Campus Life Grants will not fund alcoholic beverages, nor will they be provided for events in which alcohol will be served.
  • Open to all UCI students (not just your RCO members)
  • The majority of attendees must be UCI students
  • A promotional graphic for the event must be shared in this application
  • The attendee list must be provided after the event. An expected number of attendees is required in the application
  • Your application must be submitted at least 30 days before your event. Your application will be approved no later than 10 business days. PLEASE EXPECT DELAYS DURING HOLIDAYS/BREAKS.
  • NEW: After your application is approved, reimbursement requests must be submitted within 30 days following your event. Exception: all reimbursement requests must be made by MONDAY, MAY 26TH if your event takes place within 30 days of May 26th. If your event takes place after May 26th, pre-paid invoices or unpaid invoices may be accepted on a case-by-case basis: please email if you need additional support!
